we talked bout our school life..
actually we were talking about working in holidays..
but somehow we got to the other topic..
because..
we were asking how much time we wasted in our lifes in school..
how time flies..
already it's reaching year end..
i can still remember most of the things since January like it was yesterday..
already i have spent 4 years in Swiss Cottage..
i can still remember so many things..
in St. John's..
in class..
after school..
troubles..
people..
in the holidays for the past few years..
how have we spent our holidays..
wasting our time..
take a step at a time..
what's to be done tomorrow will be decided tomorrow..
playing the whole day..
programme for the day would always be..
eat, drink, sleep, toilet, play..
and all over again..
noticed there's no studying?
that word comes only at the end of the holidays..
sometimes..
it doesn't even appear!
all the laziness..
all the time wasted..
i woke up at 4am this morning to study..
as i was doing my accounts..
flipping through my notes..
i realised..
account isn't that difficult..
it's only..
i had not been listening to Ms Ng's lesson..
there are stuff that can be so easily done..
and i always thought it was difficult to do certain kind of questions..
such as Trading, Profit & Loss Accounts..
you can laugh at me..
i'm not afraid to tell you this..
but i didn't know how to do a TPL Account until this year..
i always needed a reference..
i couldn't even get the Gross Profit!
LoL
sigh..
as we continued chatting..
i thought back about what i've done..
what i've accomplished academically..
then i thought..
and thought..
and cried..
i did tear in the morning too..
as i did my accounts..
and the talk with #20..
it was really waking me up..
asking me not to waste my time..
we even talked about what we were going to do in the holidays..
to work, or not to work..
and we must study more than we play..
we can't let our lives go wasted like that..
and like what #20 told me..
it's not about how much time you've wasted..
it's about how much you have recovered from the time you wasted..
he's right..
and..
as students..
if we don't study..
we'll regret when the National Examinations comes..
or maybe even school exams..
you'll never know..
it would be too late if you regret..
too late to catch up with what you've missed all these years, or in that year itself..
and when you enter the examination hall..
you do your paper..
you will blame yourself for not studying..
and when the results come..
you'll hate yourself..
for those who are strong..
they would pick themsleves up from where they fall..
and work hard..
for me..
i've wasted a year in Sec4..
i'm regretting..
i want to be one of the strong ones..
those who can pick up from where they fell..
but not everyone can do it..
it takes determination..
Zane is one of those people..
the determination to study..
it really encourages me..
i shall waste no time anymore..
yes..
i must still have entertainment..
i admit i can't spend a day without watching TV..
or playing games..
but all these will be cut short..
real short..
and guys who are in the same boat as me..
join me..
study hard..
'N' Levels is just next week!
let's strive!!
work hard!!
i believe we can make it!!
not only with a passing grade..
but a high one!!
or should i say low?
well you get the idea..
so..
after all i've said..
please think back..
and decide for yourself..
to study, or not to study..
but no matter what your choice is..
your future will be affected..
it's just a matter of whether it will be affected negatively or positively..
so take into consideration what i've said..
it's ok if you don't..
but i hope you will..
and think for yourself..
